GEMBALLA GT CABRIO

based on the Porsche 991 Carrera

The 991 Carrera S incarnation of Porsche’s evergreen 911 is a smooth and elegant design that reflects its maker’s second decade of the 21st Century interpretation of this 50 year-old living classic. The GEMBALLA GT CABRIO stamp puts a bolder face on this sleek Coupe, using lightweight carbon-fibre aero components, even larger wheels and a six outlet exhaust to express its latent energy in a much more extrovert way. Call it the Carrera’s evil twin if you will, but the GEMBALLA GT CABRIO version clearly likes to party.

Aerodynamics

The face of the GEMBALLA GT Cabrio aerodynamics package is the strongly contoured front bumper. Tailored to face the airflow with determination, it features three large air intakes and a lip spoiler that provides positive downforce over the front axle for extra stability at speed. The curvaceous side skirts emphasise the profile of the car, and lead your eyes to the distinctive rear where the new bumper, with its integrated diffuser, completes this audacious styling package. Within its relatively smooth surface the new rear bumper features a central recess book-ended by vertical reflectors. Below this line, the central diffuser is flanked by a modern re-interpretation of the famous twin triple exhaust outlets that were a distinctive GEMBALLA motif started by the legendary AVALANCHE from the 1980s

Suspension & Brakes

While the factory PCCB Brakes are very effective, GEMBALLA GT Cabrio owners have the option of a revolutionary new brake system developed for GEMBALLA by Brembo. With their lightweight machined billet callipers, these incredibly powerful brakes offer unimpeachable fade resistance as well as low weight. GEMBALLA’s quest for low unsprung mass resulted in the ultra-light GForged-one forged alloy wheels that come in ‘Black Magic’ or ‘Gunmetal’ finishes, with a polished Diamond Cut finish for the spoke faces available as an option. Despite these wheels being 21-inches in diameter, a special forging process ensures that these very strong one-piece wheels are lighter than the 20-inch factory alloys that they replace.
